US and Iran Engage in New Attacks Amid Ongoing Conflict

US Senator Rubio Calls for Sanctions Lift in Exchange for Enriched Uranium

The United States has announced that it will lift sanctions on Iran only if the country agrees to give up enriched uranium, according to US Senator Marco Rubio. This statement comes as tensions between the US and Iran continue to escalate.

On Wednesday, the US military reported conducting “self-defence” strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island. Iranian media also confirmed explosions in the area. The conflict has spread across the Gulf region, with multiple countries reporting new military actions.

Kuwait’s air defence systems intercepted incoming drones and missiles, while Bahrain activated warning sirens. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported intercepting multiple Iranian missiles and drones, while Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have targeted US military assets in response to US strikes.

Diplomatic efforts to end the conflict remain uncertain. The latest developments highlight the ongoing tensions between the two countries.
