US and Israel allegedly attack Irans Natanz nuclear facility

US and Israel Strike Iran’s Natanz Nuclear Facility

A strike was reported at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, according to its atomic energy organisation. The facility, located approximately 220km southeast of Tehran, is one of the country’s most important uranium enrichment sites.

The Iranian atomic energy organisation stated that there was “no leakage of radioactive materials reported” following the attack on the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan enrichment facility. According to Tasnim news agency, no radioactive material was released, and there is no danger to the population living near the facility.

This incident marks the second time the Natanz site has been targeted by Israel in a conflict involving Iran and Israel. The first attack occurred during a 12-day war between the two countries in June 2025.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that Iran had informed it about the US-Israeli attack on the Natanz site. The agency stated that there was no increase in off-site radiation levels reported, and it is currently investigating the incident.

The White House has stated that a key objective of the conflict is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Russia has condemned the latest attack as a “blatant violation of international law.” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that strikes against Iran would intensify in the coming week.
