US and Israeli forces target Iranian oil storage facilities in Tehran

US and Israeli Forces Conduct Overnight Strikes on Iranian Oil Facilities

A series of joint US-Israeli air strikes hit five oil facilities in the Tehran area overnight, resulting in four fatalities. The attacks targeted fuel depots and an oil transfer center in Tehran and neighboring Alborz province.

According to reports, the Aghdasieh oil warehouse in northeast Tehran, the Tehran refinery in the south, the Shahran oil depot in the west, and an oil depot in the city of Karaj were among those struck. Witnesses reported that oil from the Shahran depot leaked into nearby streets.

Iran’s oil distribution company confirmed that four employees were killed in the strikes. Iranian state media described the incident as an “attack from the US and the Zionist regime.”

Israeli officials stated that they targeted fuel storage facilities used to operate military infrastructure. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, released a statement saying his government would continue with the assault and strike Iran’s rulers without mercy.

The attacks mark a new phase in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. Joint US-Israeli operations have been underway for nine days, resulting in over 1,300 fatalities in Iran and about 300 in Lebanon. About a dozen people have been killed in Israel.
