US Military Admits Attacking Vessel in Pacific Ocean, Killing Three People

US Military Conducts Strike in Eastern Pacific, Killing Three People

A strike was carried out by the US military in international waters of the eastern Pacific Ocean on Friday, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The operation, described as a “lethal kinetic strike,” took place in an area known to be a narco-trafficking route.

According to US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), which is responsible for military activities in Latin America and the Caribbean, the attack occurred on a vessel that was reportedly involved in drug trafficking. However, no evidence was provided to support this claim.

The incident marks the latest in a series of strikes carried out by the US military in the eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea since early September. Since then, at least 148 people have been killed in some 43 attacks.

A short video clip released on social media by SOUTHCOM appears to show the aftermath of the attack, featuring a stationary boat with outboard engines bursting into flames and drifting after being hit by US fire. The incident is currently under investigation.
