US Military Engages Vessel in Pacific, Resulting in Two Fatalities

US Military Confirms Fatalities in Pacific Ocean Strike

The US military has confirmed that two individuals were killed during a strike on a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean, according to a statement released by US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). The incident occurred under the command of SOUTHCOM, which oversees US military operations in Latin America.

According to SOUTHCOM, “two narco-terrorists” were killed during the action. However, no evidence was provided to support this claim regarding the involvement of the vessel and its occupants in illicit activities.

This latest strike marks one of at least 34 attacks on vessels in the Pacific and Caribbean since September 2025, resulting in the deaths of at least 126 people. The US military has been involved in these strikes, which have been widely criticized as potentially violating international law.

The Trump administration’s involvement in this particular incident appears to be its first strike under record-keeping by Airwars, a watchdog group tracking such events. Further information will be provided as the situation develops.
