US Representative Jamie Raskin has accused the Department of Justice (DoJ) of withholding information from him after viewing unredacted files related to Jeffrey Epstein. The files, which were previously redacted, contain allegations against several individuals.
According to reports, lawmakers are considering releasing the names of powerful men who may have been implicated in Epstein’s crimes. However, some lawmakers have expressed concerns about revealing the identities of these individuals due to potential repercussions.
In a separate development, Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer has stated that she is seeking clemency for her client. Maxwell was recently convicted of sex trafficking charges related to her association with Epstein.
Meanwhile, FBI employees who reviewed the unredacted files have compiled allegations against other men who may be connected to Epstein’s crimes. Lawmakers have identified six individuals as “likely incriminated” based on these allegations.
The DoJ has not commented on Raskin’s accusations or the potential release of the names of powerful men implicated in Epstein’s crimes.
