Manchester United manager Michael Carrick’s perfect start came to an end as his team struggled to find their attacking flow against West Ham United. Newcastle United secured just their third away league win of the campaign with a dominant performance against Tottenham Hotspur. Malick Thiaw scored in first-half stoppage time to give Newcastle United the lead, which was doubled by Jacob Ramsey after Archie Gray briefly levelled for Tottenham.
Chelsea’s charge towards Champions League qualification stalled after Leeds United fought back at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had taken a 2-0 lead but Leeds United scored two goals in injury time to secure a 2-2 draw.
