World Cup 2026 Match Schedule, Groups, and Format Revealed

FIFA World Cup Details Announced for Canada, Mexico, and the United States

The 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup will feature 48 nations competing in a 39-day tournament across three countries. The event will take place from June 11 to July 19, with matches scheduled at various venues in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Sixteen venues will host a total of 104 matches during the tournament. The teams have been divided into eight groups, each containing six nations. The group-stage round will consist of one round, followed by four knockout rounds before the final.

The tournament schedule has been released, with kickoff times listed for each match. The final match is scheduled to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium in New Jersey on July 19 at 3pm (20:00 GMT).

Some notable teams and groups include Argentina, who will look to defend their title, as well as debutants Cape Verde, Curacao, Jordan, and Uzbekistan. The tournament will begin in Mexico and conclude in the US.

The tournament will feature a unique format, with the knockouts beginning with the round of 32, followed by the round of 16, the four quarterfinals, and two semifinals.
