YouTube bans pro-Iranian groups AI-generated content featuring Lego-like style

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Denies YouTube Ban as Censorship

The Iranian government has condemned a ban imposed by YouTube on a pro-Iranian group that produces animated videos criticizing US President Donald Trump. The group, Explosive Media, had its account suspended for “violent content” despite other online accounts remaining unaffected.

According to Esmaeil Baghaei, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, the ban was intended to suppress “the truth” about the US-Israel conflict with Iran. He stated that the move aimed to shield the American administration’s narrative from competing voices.

Explosive Media has produced a series of videos criticizing Trump and the US government, which have garnered millions of views during the ongoing conflict. The group’s content often incorporates elements of US popular culture and portrays Trump as isolated and prone to childish behavior.

The Iranian government has expressed its opposition to the ban, with Baghaei questioning why an independent animated channel was targeted despite not violating YouTube’s community guidelines. He attributed the move to a desire to suppress information about the conflict and maintain control over the narrative.

The incident highlights tensions between Iran and the US, with both sides engaging in a propaganda war on social media platforms.
