Auburn Football Lands Big Addition with Recruit Bryson Washington
The Auburn University athletic department announced today that they have signed running back Bryson Washington, a transfer student from Baylor University, who was the team’s leading rusher in the 2025 season. Washington had an exceptional freshman season at Baylor, rushing for over 1,200 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. He was highly touted coming out of high school and was expected to be a key player on the Bears’ offense. According to sources close to the situation, Washington made the decision to transfer to Auburn citing a desire to be part of a program with more playoff opportunities. The Tigers are looking to make a deep run in the NCAA championship this season, and adding Washington’s skills and experience is seen as a major boost to their backfield. Washington will join an already talented running back room at Auburn, which includes Jeremiah Cobb. The two backs are expected to form a formidable combination on the field, and their presence is sure to make a big impact on the Tigers’ offense. Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin spoke about Washington’s addition, saying “We’re thrilled to have Bryson join our program. He brings a level of talent and experience that will help us compete at the highest level.”
