Commanders OC in Play
Two NFL teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints, are reportedly interested in hiring Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury as their next head coach. Kingsbury’s departure from Washington was seen as a surprise move by many, given his tenure with the team had been marked by significant growth and improvement on offense. However, it appears that there may be several suitors vying for his services in the coaching carousel. The Eagles, who have a strong young core of players but need to find a leader at the helm, are thought to be leading the charge in pursuit of Kingsbury. With quarterback Jalen Hurts under center, the Eagles offense could benefit greatly from the guidance and innovative play-calling that Kingsbury brings. Meanwhile, the Saints, who have struggled to find consistency on offense in recent years, may see Kingsbury as a solution to their problems. The team has been looking for a new play-caller since Sean Payton’s departure, and Kingsbury’s experience working with quarterback Jameis Winston could be an asset in this regard.
