Montrose Names Veteran Coach to Lead Football Program
Brett Stage brings over a decade of experience in the Lackawanna Football Conference to his new role as head coach at Montrose High School. With stints as an assistant coach at both Lackawanna Trail and Scranton Prep, Stage has proven himself to be a skilled leader who can build winning teams from the ground up. Under his guidance, teams have consistently shown improvement and a strong work ethic. As the new head coach of the Red Hawk football team, Stage is tasked with not only restoring Montrose’s competitive status in the conference but also shaping the next generation of student-athletes at the school. With a focus on discipline, teamwork, and hard work, Stage aims to create an environment where players can thrive both on and off the field. Stage replaces George Petrak, who coached for 14 seasons at Montrose before retiring last year. Petrak led the Red Hawks to several conference championships and helped establish the program as a force to be reckoned with in the region. With Stage at the helm, fans are hopeful that the tradition of success will continue.
