New Championship Reignites Hope for Young Hurricanes Program
The University of Miami Hurricanes, fresh from their 2023 College Football Playoff (CFP) championship win, remain a dominant force in college football. After a 22-year title drought, the program has shown signs of revitalization under the guidance of experienced head coach P.J. Fleck. The 2001 national championship team, which ended an unprecedented seven-year championship drought for the Hurricanes, was led by quarterback Ken Dorsey and a stout defense that would be remembered as one of the greatest in program history. Miami’s success has sparked renewed interest in Coral Gables, Florida, as fans flock back to South Beach Stadium (also known as Hard Rock Stadium) for the 2024 season.
