Tennessee Football Standouts Emerge as All-State Selections
The wait is over for the top high school football players in Tennessee, as the Tennessee Sports Writers Association has announced its 2025 all-state TSSAA football teams for Class 1A, 2A and 3A. The selection process involved a vote by sports writers from across the state, resulting in a group of talented athletes who have made significant contributions to their respective schools. For Class 1A, eight players were selected as all-state, led by quarterback Tyler Johnson of Christian Academy, who had an impressive season throwing for over 2,000 yards and rushing for over 1,000. Other top performers from this class include tight end Michael Taylor of Knoxville Home School and running back Logan Brown of Trinity Christian. In Class 2A, nine players were chosen as all-state, with standout quarterback Caleb Lee of Zion Christian leading the group. Lee had a remarkable season, throwing for over 1,800 yards and rushing for over 500. Other notable selections from this class include wide receiver Noah Thompson of Christ Academy and defensive back Justin Wright of Knoxville Home School. The Class 3A all-state team was comprised of ten players, with quarterback Austin Wilson of Karns City leading the way. Wilson had an outstanding season, throwing for over 2,400 yards and rushing for over 1,000. Other top performers from this class include wide receiver Jalen Jackson of White House High School and defensive lineman Tyler Jenkins of Christ Church. These selections represent some of the best high school football players in Tennessee, and it will be exciting to see how these athletes continue to develop their skills and compete at the next level.
