Ableton Live Adds Real-Time Audio Streaming for Seamless Collaboration
Ableton is introducing a new feature in its upcoming Live 12.4 Beta update that enables real-time audio streaming between devices on a local network, allowing users to collaborate more efficiently. Dubbed Link Audio, this functionality facilitates seamless collaboration by transmitting audio in real-time, eliminating the need for exporting projects and sending them back and forth. Unlike existing Ableton Link, which syncs BPM over a local network, Link Audio focuses solely on streaming audio, preventing external devices from interfering with MIDI or automation adjustments within a session. This update promises to revolutionize cross-device collaboration for musicians and producers, streamlining the creative process and enhancing overall productivity.
