Affordable Dune 2 Keyboard Alternative Emerges

Expressive E is simplifying its Osmose MPE keyboard by removing the synthesizer component, transforming it into a more affordable MIDI controller. The revised Osmose CE now comes in two sizes - 49 and 61 keys - priced at $999 and $1,199 respectively. Compared to its original price of $1,799, this represents a significant reduction, making it more competitive with the Roli Seaboard 2 for around $1,399. The Osmose keyboard’s unique design, which features moving keys that allow for expressive bends, remains intact despite the change. This update positions Expressive E to capitalize on the growing demand for MIDI controllers without the need for advanced synthesizer capabilities.
