Amazon Cloud Gaming Service Abandons Third-Party Game Purchases
The cloud gaming service Amazon Luna announced significant changes that will impact players’ ability to purchase and play third-party games within its platform. As of June 10th, 2026, users will no longer be able to buy or access previously purchased titles, although existing games will remain available for play through EA, GOG, or Ubisoft accounts initially used during the initial purchase. This shift in policy is also accompanied by Amazon Luna’s decision to cease support for third-party stores hosted by EA, Ubisoft, and GOG. The service has announced the discontinuation of subscriptions to Ubisoft Plus and Jackbox Games and will cancel any active Luna subscriptions purchased through its platform at the end of their billing cycle.
