Despite being a few years old, Amazon’s last-gen Paperwhite offers nearly all the features that make its current model our favorite e-reader for those who primarily read Kindle books. The device boasts a sharp 300ppi display and an adjustable warm front light, providing comfortable reading at night. Additionally, battery life is excellent, allowing users to enjoy months of use on a single charge. Compared to the latest Paperwhite model, which offers slightly better performance, battery life, and a larger seven-inch display, the older version remains a great value for its price. Its 6.8-inch display, although smaller than the base Kindle’s six-inch screen, is still spacious compared to the competition.
