Apple Unveils Enhanced Age Verification Tools for Compliant Apps in Multiple Regions
Apple has introduced a new set of age verification tools to help developers comply with regional laws requiring age checks for app downloads. The updated features aim to ensure that users in countries such as Brazil, Australia, and Singapore are unable to download apps rated 18-plus unless their age is verified through a reasonable method, which the App Store can automatically confirm. In addition, Apple notes that developers may still be required to implement separate age verification measures for specific regions or jurisdictions. The company’s new tools are designed to meet the growing demand for digital age checks and provide developers with a more seamless way to comply with regulatory requirements.
