Asus Unveils ROG Strix XG129C Touchscreen Display to Challenge Elgato's Secondary Displays
Asus has entered the competitive market of secondary touchscreen displays with its latest offering, the 12.3-inch ROG Strix XG129C IPS display designed to complement a larger main monitor. Similar to the 2020 Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15, which features a 14.1-inch secondary display, the XG129C is intended to be an accessory for a primary screen. The XG129C boasts a resolution of 720p and covers 125% of the sRGB color gamut, as well as 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. To enhance its features, Asus includes a one-year subscription to AIDA64 Extreme, a hardware monitoring tool that typically costs $65. This move positions the XG129C as a more affordable alternative to Corsair’s Xeneon Edge, which also has a 14.5-inch display but at a similar price point.
