Aurora Expands Driverless Truck Network to 10 Routes Across Southern US
Aurora, a company co-founded by former Google self-driving car engineers, plans to more than triple its driverless truck network with an upcoming software update that will enable autonomous trucks to operate on up to 30 routes across the southern United States. The new update will expand Aurora’s existing autonomous truck fleet, which currently operates without human safety drivers in four major cities in Texas. As part of the rollout, Aurora aims to introduce its driverless technology to more areas, increasing access to autonomous transportation solutions for shippers and logistics companies.
