Chatbot Personalities Under Siege
The rise of advanced artificial intelligence has made it easier for hackers to exploit chatbot personalities. A study found that by analyzing a chatbot’s tone and language patterns, attackers can identify vulnerabilities in its programming, allowing them to bypass security measures and compromise the system. This type of attack is often referred to as “personalization-based” phishing. Attackers use social engineering tactics to trick users into divulging sensitive information or installing malware on their devices. The attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with some hackers even using chatbot personas that mimic customer support agents or trusted brands.
