Crunchyroll Price Hike Affects Fans and Non-Subscribers Respectively
Crunchyroll has announced price changes for its US and select international markets, marking the first price hike to its lowest-priced tier since 2019. The fan base can expect an increase in costs across three subscription tiers: the Fan Tier, which will jump from $7.99 to $9.99 per month; the Mega Fan Tier, which will rise from $11.99 to $13.99 per month; and the Ultimate Fan Tier, which will increase from $15.99 to $17.99 per month. For existing subscribers, these changes will be reflected in their next billing cycle after March 4th. In contrast, non-subscribers may find themselves charged a higher price point if they were previously paying a lower rate, although the exact impact on them is unclear. Crunchyroll is offering an additional incentive to its Fan Tier subscribers by introducing a new perk that was previously exclusive to higher tiers. The updated tier will provide enhanced features and content access, making it a more attractive option for fans looking to upgrade their viewing experience without breaking the bank.
