Daily Active Users Plummet as Roblox Implements Age Checks
A recent earnings report from Roblox revealed a decline in daily active users to 132 million globally, down from 144 million at the end of last year and 152 million in Q3. The drop is attributed to the platform’s rollout of age checks, which slowed new user acquisition. In contrast, US and Canadian active users decreased by one million compared to the previous quarter, while revenue reached $1.4 billion. Roblox acknowledges that the implementation of age checks tempered its growth, citing “greater-than-expected headwinds.”
