Dell Watering Down Alienware Brand with Entry-Level Laptop
A time when Alienware refused to make a thinner laptop has come back around - partly thanks to RAMageddon. A new five-pound Alienware 15, labeled as an entry-level gaming laptop, is being marketed towards those on a tighter budget. This shift in focus may be seen as admirable, especially considering the rising costs of gaming hardware. However, unlike other affordable options like the $350 OLED monitor from Alienware’s lineup, the laptop itself does not feel like good value for its price. The new device comes equipped with last-gen, entry-level Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card, which falls short of expectations compared to its more powerful counterparts in the market.
