Discord to Delay Global Age Verification Rollout
Discord is pushing back its plan to implement age verification on its platform worldwide until mid-2026, citing a miscommunication with users about the process. The company’s CTO, Stanislav Vishnevskiy, acknowledged that many users thought Discord required in-person ID checks when it was actually just an explanation of the process that fell short. To rectify this, Discord plans to add more age verification options for users before launching the global rollout.
