Electric Trucks Face Ranging Worries After Towing
The California-based company Evotrex has introduced its new RV, the Evotrex-PG5, which proposes a solution to the problem of electric trucks losing range after towing by charging the truck’s battery while towing. A key feature of the Evotrex-PG5 is its unified energy system, which combines a massive 43kWh lithium-phosphate battery, 1.5kW of solar power, and an ultra-efficient gas-powered onboard generator called Horizon. This system works to replenish the truck’s battery while it is being used for towing, addressing the issue of range loss. By leveraging the energy sources in tandem, the Evotrex-PG5 aims to provide a more practical solution for electric truck owners who need to tow heavy loads over long distances without worrying about their truck’s battery running out of charge.
