Emails Released by DOJ Contain Garbled Symbols Due to Conversion Error
The scrambled text in emails released by the Department of Justice from its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein is likely a result of the conversion process, not a secret code used by cabals of elite sex traffickers. According to Chris Prom, professor and archivist at the University of Illinois, the symbols are probably an artifact of the poor PDF conversion that was used to save the emails. The Verge was unable to verify any such codes being used in the actual communication between parties.
