Federal Charges Filed Against Daniel Moreno-Gama for OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Attack

Daniel Moreno-Gama, a man from Texas, is now facing federal charges after traveling to California with the intent to harm OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. On April 10th, he was apprehended after throwing a Molotov cocktail at Altman’s residence and attempting to break into OpenAI’s headquarters. Prosecutors allege that Moreno-Gama broke through glass doors using a chair and stated his intention to set fire to the building and harm anyone inside. The charges against him include attempted damage and destruction of property by means of explosives, as well as possession of an unregistered firearm.
