Gemini to Feature in Four Million General Motors Vehicles
General Motors is set to deploy Google’s Gemini AI assistant across approximately four million vehicles in the US, with eligible models including those from Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC, all of which were manufactured from 2022 onward. The rollout of Gemini will occur through over-the-air software updates for GM’s infotainment system, expected to take place over several months. According to General Motors, this represents one of the largest deployments of Gemini in the industry, with customers anticipating an improved user experience as they transition from the current Google Assistant to a more intuitive AI assistant. As the Gemini AI continues to evolve, it will provide enhanced functionality and intelligence to support drivers’ needs. The update aims to enhance the overall driving experience, offering smarter and more personalized interactions within the vehicle’s infotainment system.
