Google Brings Android’s Desktop Mode to Pixel Devices for Enhanced Productivity
Google is introducing a new desktop mode on its Pixel devices, allowing users with Pixel 8 and newer models to connect their device to an external monitor via USB-C, providing a “desktop-like multi-window experience”. This feature enables the use of a mouse and keyboard, and also works seamlessly with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The new desktop mode will be accompanied by a similar functionality on the Pixel Tablet, offering a “familiar interface to arrange and resize overlapping windows”. With this update, Google aims to enhance productivity and multitasking capabilities for its users.
