Google Chrome Gains Vertical Browser Tabs
Google’s Chrome browser is set to receive a significant update, introducing reading mode and vertical tab layout options. The reading mode feature strips away website clutter to create a more readable experience, a feature that has already been implemented in other browsers but is now being rolled out to Chrome users. This upgrade promises to enhance the browsing experience for those frequently exposed to excessive web content. In addition to the reading mode, the browser will also gain vertical tab layout options, allowing users to reorganize their tab bar by right-clicking and selecting “Show Tabs Vertically”. This new feature brings a fresh take on traditional tab management, freeing up horizontal space for other purposes.
