Google to Expand AirDrop Support Across More Android Devices Later This Year
Google is set to broaden its AirDrop capabilities across a wider range of Android phones in the coming months. Following the initial launch on Google Pixel 10 devices last year, the tech giant has been working with its Android partners to integrate Quick Share, which enables data transfer between iOS and Android devices, into more devices. According to Eric Kay, vice president of engineering for Android, “a lot more” Android phones are expected to support AirDrop this year. This expansion is part of Google’s ongoing effort to improve compatibility across different ecosystems, as confirmed in a recent press briefing attended by Android Authority.
