Google to Scrap 30 Percent Android App Store Fee Amid Proposed Settlement
Google has announced plans to lower its app store fees in the US, UK, and European Economic Area to 20 percent starting June 30th, effectively making good on some of the changes proposed as part of a potential settlement with Epic Games. The company also aims to launch a new “Registered App Stores” program globally by year-end, allowing developers to offer their own billing systems in addition to Google’s.
