Gucci-branded Google Smart Glasses Launch in 2027
Google is set to partner with luxury fashion brand Gucci to launch its first pair of Android XR smart glasses, titled “Project Aura”, later this year. Building on the success of Meta’s recent foray into smart glasses with Ray-Ban models, Google’s latest offering promises a stylish yet functional wearable device. The project aims to revamp the company’s approach to smart glasses, which has faced criticism and commercial failure in the past decade. Notably, Google Glass struggled to gain widespread adoption, despite its innovative features at launch. This time around, Gucci-branded Google smart glasses are poised to make a splash with their sleek design and stylish accessories. The project also marks another collaboration between Google and popular eyewear brands, following recent partnerships with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster last year.
