Highguard Free-to-Play Squad Shooter Closes Down After Just 51 Days
Wildlight Entertainment has announced that its free-to-play squad shooter Highguard is shutting down on March 12th due to a lack of sustainable player base support. Despite reaching 2 million players within the first two months, the game’s fate was sealed after just 51 days. The studio cited the passion and hard work of their team but ultimately couldn’t build a robust enough community to sustain the game in the long term. In an effort to give fans a final goodbye, Highguard is set to receive its final update before shutdown, featuring new content such as a character and weapon addition.
