Honor claims its Robot Phone will launch later this year

A working prototype of Honor’s highly anticipated “Robot” phone showcased a smartphone with an integrated 200-megapixel camera arm that utilizes a compact, cutting-edge gimbal system. The device was demonstrated alongside a humanoid robot at MWC 2026, further solidifying the company’s claims about its ambitious project. Although specifications remain scarce, it is reported that the phone will be released in China by the end of this year. A closer inspection of the prototype revealed that the true extent of the “Robot” phone’s capabilities has yet to be fully realized. While an impressive camera arm caught the attention of attendees, other features, such as advanced AI or augmented reality capabilities, remain unclear.
