Intel to Unleash Custom Panther Lake CPU for Handheld PCs
Intel is set to launch a bespoke Panther Lake processor tailored specifically for handheld gaming devices, with the aim of competing directly with AMD’s Strix Halo chips and Qualcomm’s potential Windows-powered offerings, which may debut at the upcoming Game Developers Conference. The custom chip variant is expected to boast improved performance over Intel’s existing Arc B390 GPU, thanks to its adoption of the 18A process and targeted optimization for low-power, high-performance applications characteristic of handheld gaming.
