iPhone 17e Launch Imminent with MagSafe and A19 Chip
Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its latest iPhone model, the iPhone 17e, just over a year after launching the iPhone 16e. According to insider Mark Gurman, the upcoming device will feature an upgraded A19 chip, as well as MagSafe charging capabilities, which mark a significant shift away from Apple’s in-house cellular chips. Furthermore, Gurman claims that the iPhone 17e is expected to retain its price of $599 despite rising RAM and storage costs. The company plans to aggressively market the iPhone 17e in emerging markets and to enterprises, where it sees an opportunity to capitalize on Samsung’s focus on the higher-end market. Meanwhile, Google’s Pixel 10a is seen as a more direct competitor, with minimal updates expected from Apple’s latest offerings. With this strategy, Apple aims to expand its reach and maintain its position in the competitive smartphone market.
