Lenovo Legion Go 2 sees drastic price hike as gaming hardware prices skyrocket.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2, once priced at $1,099 and up, is now listed by Best Buy for a staggering $1,499 with a Ryzen Z2 processor or a significantly steeper $1,999 with the more powerful Z2 Extreme variant. This sudden $650 price increase in just six months has left many gamers wondering if Lenovo’s flagship handheld has become overpriced. Microsoft’s Xbox Ally X, with its similarly priced AMD chip, now costs $999, while the GPD Win 5 with an AMD Strix Halo processor was valued at nearly twice that amount last year. As gaming hardware prices continue to rise rapidly, it’s likely only a matter of time before Microsoft adjusts the price of its own handheld Xbox device. For now, Asus has indicated that there is “no plan” to increase the price of its Xbox Ally X. The Lenovo Legion Go 2’s unique mouse mode remains one of its standout features among Windows handhelds. However, with prices this high, it’s hard not to wonder if the convenience and portability offered by these devices are worth the premium cost.
