Lenovo Unveils AI-Powered Desktop Companions to Boost Productivity

Lenovo has unveiled two new concepts designed to boost productivity in offices: AI Workmate and Smart Companion. AI Workmate, an “always-on desk companion,” features a robotic arm with expressive eyes that can move and rotate to accomplish various tasks. The device uses local AI processing to interact with users as a smart assistant via voice commands or gestures. Smart Companion takes the form of a sleek, all-in-one desktop display that also doubles as a virtual coworker. While not as physically interactive as its counterpart, it offers an always-on interface for users to access information, receive notifications, and engage in virtual conversations. Both devices are designed to provide office workers with companionship and assistance, blurring the lines between technology and human interaction.
