Lucid Expands Robotaxi Deal with Uber to 35,000 Units
Lucid Motors has expanded its partnership with ride-hailing giant Uber, increasing the number of Lucid Gravity SUVs it will supply for the company’s robotaxi fleet from 20,000 to 35,000 units. The deal also brings in additional investment as part of a broader push by the luxury electric vehicle manufacturer to accelerate its adoption of autonomous mobility solutions. As part of this effort, Lucid is appointing new CEO Jay Rolison, who comes to the company from Otis Worldwide, a global elevator and escalator manufacturer.
