Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Gets Its First Big Discount
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the most graphically impressive first-person shooter for the Nintendo Switch, is now available at a discounted price of $39.99 at Best Buy, which represents a $20 discount from its original retail price. The game’s graphics are surprisingly good on the 2017 hardware, but it runs smoother and looks better with the additional $10 upgrade pack that unlocks high-resolution textures, faster loading times, and Joy-Con mouse mode. For those upgrading to the Switch 2, purchasing the discounted game and digital upgrade pack costs $50, which is still slightly more than its normal $70 price for the Switch 2 Edition version. The new features in Beyond, such as an open-world design with map markers, collectibles, and a motorcycle, may feel out of place in the franchise, but the campaign remains engaging and enjoyable. This latest Prime game marks a significant departure from the previous entries, with the last one released back in 2007. Despite its new additions, fans can still have a good time playing through the story without it overstaying its welcome.
