After nearly 40 years with the company, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer and Xbox President Sarah Bond are departing as part of a restructuring effort. The changes come after last summer’s initial denial of Spencer’s retirement, which led to a succession planning process. Effective immediately, Asha Sharma will take over as Microsoft Gaming CEO, while Matt Booty will assume the role of EVP and Chief Content Officer.
