Microsoft's Xbox Gamepad Cursor Embraces Virtual Mice on Handhelds
Microsoft has started testing its virtual mouse cursor feature within its Xbox mode, allowing users to convert their handheld devices’ left stick into a precise control option. This innovative feature is now accessible from the Game Bar without the need for Asus’ Armory Crate interface, which also offers similar functionality. The new Gamepad Cursor enhances mobile gaming experiences by providing users with precise mouse-like control over apps not designed for controllers. When activated, the virtual cursor transforms the left stick into a scrolling navigation tool, offering increased accuracy and versatility. This feature is part of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance its Xbox mode on handheld devices, further solidifying its position in the gaming market.
