Moto Razr Series Suffers from Shrinking Value
Motorola’s latest entry in its iconic flip phone series has sparked criticism from consumers who claim that the company is practicing “shrinkflation.” Despite an increase in price, the updated models offer few upgrades and seem to be more expensive than their predecessors. The 2026 Razr Plus, in particular, costs $100 more than last year’s model despite having similar hardware specifications. The main camera hardware remains unchanged, and the smartphone’s processor is two years old. However, Motorola has upgraded the battery capacity by 500mAh, which may provide a slight improvement in terms of overall performance. One notable exception to this trend is the color scheme; the Razr Plus comes in only one color option, but it is an attractive design that sets it apart from its competitors.
