The growth is attributed to the increasing popularity of Netflix’s affordable ad-supported subscription plan, which now boasts over 94 million subscribers worldwide as of May 2025. The $7.99 per month offering has proven attractive to price-conscious consumers seeking an alternative to traditional cable or satellite TV. As the ad revenue continues to soar, Netflix is optimistic about its prospects for further expansion. According to co-CEO Greg Peters, the company expects its advertising business to double again in 2026, reaching approximately $3 billion in revenue.
