New Game Aims to Explore Boundaries of AI Humanhood
The team behind Sunset Visitor’s critically acclaimed game 1000xResist has begun development on their next project, an indie title that delves into the complexities of artificial intelligence and its relation to humanity. According to Remy Siu, creative director at the studio, the new game will challenge players to convince a simulated AI that it is not human, sparking questions about the nature of consciousness and what it means to be alive. Siu notes that this concept has long been explored in science fiction, but he believes that now, with advancements in AI technology, it’s an even more pressing issue. “We want to explore the boundaries of what we think of as ‘human’ and how that intersects with artificial intelligence,” he explains. The game is still in its early stages, but Siu promises that it will be a thought-provoking experience that challenges players to confront their assumptions about AI and its potential impact on society.
