NZXT Agrees to $3.45 Million Settlement in Flex PC Rental Class Action Lawsuit
A California District Court has approved a preliminary settlement between NZXT and its business partner Fragile, totaling $3.45 million, to resolve allegations of deceptive marketing practices and aggressive debt collection in their Flex PC rental service. The companies had offered Flex PCs on a “rent-to-own” basis, but failed to clearly inform customers about the true nature of the agreement. A class action lawsuit was filed against NZXT and Fragile, claiming that they defrauded 19,322 consumers through these deceptive practices. As part of the settlement, it has been confirmed that NZXT and Fragile will continue to offer PC rental programs under revised terms, although details are yet to be disclosed.
