Oura Ring 5 Available Now with Improved Accuracy and Battery Life
The highly anticipated Oura Ring 5 is now available for preorder ahead of its June 4th release from various third-party retailers including Amazon and Walmart, starting at a price of $399. The new smart ring boasts a design that’s both slimmer and lighter, weighing in at 40% less than its predecessor, while also promising improved accuracy and battery life. Users can expect up to nine days of use on a single charge, making it a more convenient option for those who want to track their fitness goals without the need for frequent recharging. The Oura Ring 5 also comes equipped with several new software features, including Locate, a tool that allows users to find their misplaced ring or charging case using the app. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the introduction of live activity mode, which provides real-time workout and heart rate tracking, as well as support for third-party heart rate monitors. Additionally, Oura has introduced Health Radar, a system that monitors nighttime breathing and blood pressure patterns for signs of potential health issues. The ring is also available in premium colors starting at $499, including gold, stealth, brushed silver, and deep rose variants. Each model comes with a size-specific charger and USB-C cable, and is eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement in the US. A free sizing kit is included to help users determine their ideal fit, given the ring’s new slimmer design. The Oura Ring 5 will work seamlessly with both iPhones and Android devices, but requires an Oura membership ($5.99 a month / $69.99 a year) to access all of the platform’s health insights and features. In addition to the ring, Oura is also launching the Oura Ring 5 Charging Case, which supports wireless charging and can provide up to a month of battery life. The case features an action button that allows users to quickly pair it with their ring and check its charging status.
